Created by Colouring It Forward, this unique journal contains lined pages, blank pages for drawing, elder’s writings and small colourable images of eagles, buffalo, wolves, feathers and more, as well as 14 pieces of full colour artwork by artists from different nations including Mi’gmaq, Métis, Blackfoot, Inuit, Cree, Saulteaux, Mohawk.

Colouring It Forward (CIF) is a 100% Indigenous social enterprise. The founders at CIF collaborate with Indigenous Artists and elders to produce authentic books, cards and journals to tell the other side of the story of Indigenous people — of hope and of a different future. CIF is a gathering place for people to share their own stories and their Native Canadian art, and to build a community.

For June and July The51 will donate ALL proceeds from the sale of this product to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
