Judy Fairburn, Founder

Judy is a Board Director, Angel and Creative Destruction Lab Fellow, and a Global Advisor for a Swiss-based technology fund. She has C-suite business experience, recently as Chief Digital Officer and EVP Business Innovation. She co-founded Evok Innovations, a $100 million digital/cleantech venture fund. Judy also led substantial change as the first Chair of the consolidated Alberta Innovates, an agency of the Alberta government that funds, advises and provides scale-up support to innovators across the health, energy, agriculture and digital sectors.


Shelley Kuipers, Founder

Shelley is an activist entrepreneur, investor, and community builder who has leveraged her experience as a pioneer in the field of crowdsourcing to co-found several innovative companies including IOVIA, Chaordix, and the early stage venture capital firm, Adventure Capital. A passionate advocate for challenging the corporate status quo, Shelley leverages her work to further corporate, ecological and personal responsibility, and support women in business.


Alice Reimer, Founder

Alice is a successful tech entrepreneur, and dedicated community mentor and leader. Currently the Site Lead for Creative Destruction Lab. She also co-founded Calgary-based Evoco and most recently was the CEO of Chaordix, a pioneering software leader in the crowdsourcing and open innovation space. Alice also sits on a number of public and private boards, using her experience in tech entrepreneurship to guide promising new start-ups and established businesses to success. 


Karen Garth, Communications Manager

Karen has built a career in communications and marketing for technology and innovation. She has experience across a wide range of sectors from oil and gas, to blockchain, to marketing and design. Currently the Marketing Manager for IOVIA she has also worked for Shell, COSIA and wide range of Calgary-based tech start-ups. She believes that education and understanding is key to building communities that are invested in technology and innovation to improve the world we live in – environmentally, socially and economically.
