Equal Voice Calgary's She Governs program is hosting their third annual She Governs program with the City of Calgary on March 7 from 8:30am-noon MT for young women in grades 9-12. The objective of the event is to inspire participants to get involved in the political process at a younger age, with the hopes that it keeps them connected to politics throughout their life.
This year, Equal Voice Calgary is offering two ways to participate: A Model Council where 15 young women will assume the role of a councillor and go through a ‘mock’ Council meeting. The deadline to apply is February 18, 2022

The program may conflict with school schedules, which is why Equal Voice Calgary is offering a certificate to all Model Council participants to use on their resumes. The deadline to apply to She Governs program is February 18.
