For Kate, her mother, Joanne, and sister, Lindsay, investing together in The 51 is about more than capital. All three are deeply engaged in their communities and share a commitment to philanthropy and women’s empowerment.  The family saw The 51 as a meaningful way to put their values into action. It also carries forward the entrepreneurial legacy of Kate’s late father, while creating a new tradition of women investing together, one they hope to extend to the next generation as Kate’s daughter grows older.
