Fund Operation & Reporting Lead
Role Overview
We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Fund Operations & Reporting Lead to support the day-to-day operations of our venture funds.
This role sits at the centre of investor reporting, fund operations, compliance, and LP communications. You’ll work closely with the Managing Partner, investment team, and external service providers to help deliver a high-quality investor experience, in addition to maintaining strong operational infrastructure.
This role is critical to enabling The51’s differentiated model, delivering institutional-quality reporting while maintaining high-touch engagement across an institutional and community-driven LP base of 250+ investors, growing with Fund III.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investor Reporting & Data Management
Collaborate with investment team to support quarterly LP reporting and portfolio data updates
Maintain fund and portfolio datasets, reporting trackers, and KPIs
Track portfolio company performance metrics and valuation updates
Coordinate portfolio company reporting requests and follow-ups
Own DEI and ESG data collection and reporting
2. LP & Investor Relations
Coordinate LP communications, reporting distribution, and investor requests
Support AGM, LPAC, and investor engagement processes
Maintain investor records, contact lists, and communication logs
Assist with co-investment communications and materials
Deliver high-quality, consistent experience across a large and diverse LP base.
3. Fund Operations & Compliance
Coordinate core fund operations across reporting cycles, fundraising activities, audits, and compliance requirements
Maintain fund documentation, data rooms, and reporting timelines
Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and finance providers
Support audits, regulatory filings, and compliance tracking
Maintain regulatory and tax filings across funds and co-investments, including maintaining records related to investor eligibility, residency, and tax documentation
Keep fundraising and marketing materials up to date
Stay current on evolving regulatory, compliance, and reporting requirements relevant to venture funds and private markets
4. Finance & Reporting Support
Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes across the funds
Collaborate with finance, fund administrators, and auditors during reporting cycles and year-end audits
Coordinate collection and organization of financial information, valuation support materials, and reporting packages
Assist with tracking capital calls, distributions, follow-on investments, and fund cash flow activities
Support preparation of LP reporting materials, fund performance summaries, and portfolio reporting outputs
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years experience in:
Venture capital, private equity, fund administration, or family office
OR accounting / audit / professional services with exposure to funds
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Comfortable working with financial and operational data
Strong written communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with reporting systems, spreadsheets, and operational workflows
Discreet and professional when handling sensitive LP and portfolio information
Proactive self-starter who can operate with minimal oversight
Comfortable using tools and leveraging AI to improve workflows and efficiency
